I don't know but I want to.

I want to say I hit HOF status after about 50 SLB seasons. $500 or thereabouts. But I'm a forum legend so the same rules may not apply to you.

would you say that it's not just money that factors into HOF status but also championships seeing as i got mine for an HBD WS win at a time i didn't buy any new teams?

If you had a low-durability catcher with great pitch-calling skillz, would you prefer to play him with your best pitchers or your worst pitchers?

I'd probably try to get him in the games against my better opponents regardless of who I had pitching. Assuming, of course, that he's your overall best option at catcher.

I want a guy who can give me 70 pitches every 5th day. That's a combo of durability, stamina, control and effectiveness. I don't dismiss guys with control in the 40s if they can do that. I like splits to be 60+ but, if a guy has a couple of really effective pitches, I'll dip into the 50s. Not fond of <50 splits from either side. Then I look at pitches. I'd like two pitches, added together, to exceed 145. The lower rated pitch has to be 60+. I don't like 3 pitch SP regardless of the numbers but I will use one occassional. Velocity and GB/FB are nothing more than tie-breakers for me. Although single digit GB/FB is largely avoided unless the pitcher is an ace everywhere else.

not all that different from what I look for..how come it works for you but not for me?

People want answers. It should come as no surprise that a place where they can get them is popular. I am, however, a bit surprised that ADMIN has allowed it. Usually a whiner will cry and ADMIN will move it. But, in this case, I guess there's enough HBD talk to keep it relevant.
