oh I agree felonius....if that day and a half thing does happen that's BS...doesn't take 5 seconds to check in to see where the draft is during the day(I do just because I find it quite interesting who is being drafted)

if anyone hasn't checked scuds breakdown in the commentary posting, its definitely worth the read....looks like several good teams being created so far

Love to see some of you handle a Baseball draft- 25 players, usually takes about 2-3 weeks. If you are lucky.

Oh, and if Lever aint the Man at PG, somebody explain to me how I've won a Championship, been to a Conference Finals, and currently have a team 40-11 with him.

2 or 3 weeks for 25 players is actually pretty damn good though - this draft here started 5 days ago and we're not quite up to a 3rd player each and yet we're a day ahead of schedule (almost 2 in fact) at this pace a baseball draft would take almost 6 weeks - or is that what youre saying?

In hockey drafts we always do 24 players a day on 15 or 30 min time slots

wow, a pick is made at 10:35 PM, and I'm getting my balls busted for picking at 8 AM the next day...sorry for sleeping  LOL
----------

sleep is important but why not send a proxy? the commish (scud) is pretty much awake during those hours and maybe whoever's picking behind you is, too.
Oh I'm not mad....I just found it funny

I literally checked the board 5 minutes before I went to bed(and it wasn't my pick)...and made my pick 15 minutes after I woke up

No worries...I am happy(and I'm sure everyone else is happy) we are so ahead of schedule --- I just feel bad for the owner that might hold the draft up for a day and a half without missing his turn...he'll get burned in effigy in the forum  :)
nobody thought u were mad...

Most people here know that the way these drafts usually go.

1. start fast - way ahead of schedule
2. slow down a bit because people think we're so far ahead of schedule so screw it, why should I proxy? - but we're still good/ahead of schedule
3. someone goes MIA when they are up - still ahead of schedule, tho. but need to wait for them for a while.
4. Someone misses their turn and gets skipped - behind schedule at this point and then possibly more people go MIA/get skipped
5. we finish the last round in a flurry, just to get it over with. someone usually gets skipped in the last round, too, tho.

proxying isn't that hard if u know who you want.

see that's the thing - I have a decent idea of what I want in the next several rounds but I wonder if some people maybe just wait until their slot to look at who is still available?
