swampy, couldn't one say only a tiny percentage have been caught/convicted?
You could say only a tiny percentage has been caught. Would that seem logical?

Are you saying no one is paying attention to Congressmen? I realize we didnt always have all the 24 hour news netowrks, but we do now and we are not seeing a lot.

Also if someone took a bribe but voted how they would anyway...I realize that is a little technical but...

Compared to most crimes, absolutely logical.   I exceed the speed limit every day.   I've probably gotten 15-20 tickets in 33 years of driving.   So I get caught once every 700 days or so.   Half of the world seemingly smokes pot.   I don't know anyone who's ever been busted for pot.   Even you admit prostitution is rampant.  I could go on but I think you get the point.

Taking a bribe?  Piece of cake.   Only two people have to know.

That seems like a bad anology. A Congressman taking a bribe is huge. It would make someone a lot of money.

And although only 2 people need know, in reality more would know.

Not if they're smart.   I'm sure you've heard of overseas accounts.  The only time anything has to come out is if the politician didn't follow thru.   Then the bribe-giver would go public.

In 1995, Boehner handed out campaign checks from the tobacco industry to members on the House floor at a time when lawmakers were considering eliminating a tobacco subsidy.

Oh and Warren frigging Buffett happens to believe in higher taxes for the rich. I suppose that makes him a European socialist, too, which will shock the hell out of the people who've invested in Berkshire Hathaway over the years. You'd think one of the world's richest men would be a capitalist.

Funnily enough, that's exactly how Eric Bolling attempted to describe Buffett. How he maintained a straight face while saying it, I'll never know, It's an impressive performance.

He must be medicated before he goes on air. This is exactly why I don't bother wasting my time watching Fox. There's too many chimps with axes to grind on the air.

I don't watch MSNBC either. In fact, I'm struggling to think the last time I turned on the television to seek information or an informed opinion about any subject. It's been a while.
