IT was done to make up for the Jim Crow laws. Would you rather just cut checks to people? What is your cure? We gave Native Americans the option to not pay taxes.
Equalize opportunity, not outcomes. All 9 of my proposals equalize opportunity. AA tries to equalize outcomes.

I have said this over and over.

1. Equalize education spending per student.
2. Require body cameras for police.
3. Change the justice system so that police are accountable (Right now people in criminal justice work with police so they are prosecuting their own co-workers. Also don't let police who commit crimes re sign with other police stations.
4. Stop the war on drugs. Don't over perscribe Opioids.
5. Take away voter ID laws.
6. Invest in prison rehabilitation.
7. Better and more public defenders.
8. Strip out individual cases of redlining.
9. Invest in local poverty solutions.

#1) Done by RE Taxes --- so how do you propose to change that?
#2) Agreed -- Not sure how that equalizes opportunity.
#3) Agreed - The system needs an overhaul.
#4) Agreed - I think all drugs should be legalized.
#5) Disagree. If I need a license to drive I should need one to vote.
#6) Agreed - our prison system is a joke. I would privatize it.
#7) Agreed - Tougher than it looks. Law Schools is pricey and PDs don't get paid well. Maybe require more pro bono work from private attorneys.
#8) Agreed - Redlining should be abolished. Hopefully it is.
#9) Agreed - Pour $$$ into the mantra of HS graduation, not becoming a single parent and jobs.

See what happens when you don't use hateful terms such as white privilege and institutional racism? WOW!! Even we can agree on most things.

#1) Make it federal level spending and not local. So add on to the ones that are lacking.
#2) Accountability for police.
#5) No, Voter fraud almost never happens, and it has more disadvantages than advantages.
#6) Hate to break it to you, but private prisons are far worse than federal ones.

We do agree on white privilege and institutional racism. We have the exact same views. I told you we agreed on things btw.

Here's an idea that I think will help us get on the same terms. I am frustrated with you misinterpreting my opinions. So ask me any questions you want on any idea and I will give my opinion. This statement from me will be MY OFFICIAL OPINION and you may not spin it. Deal?

Fair

#1) Do you believe an African American boy born on May 10th 2018 is at a disadvantage to a white boy born on the same day? Both have two parents earning about the same and live in the same neighborhood?

#2) Please name specific institutions that you believe redline or discriminate right now sans police departments, which we agree need to be revamped for many reasons. Interestingly some of the dumbest kids in my HS are now police officers. Can't make this stuff up.

#3) Prove that private prisons are worse than federal ones.

#4) Would you support a $10Bn campaign country wide that promotes HS graduation and no kids before marriage or partnership where two parents can raise the child?

#5) Do you think bad luck is a dumbass?

#1) I believe that the African American boy has systematic disadvantages despite being completely equal to the white boy. This does not mean that the white person will always turn out better, and it is very slim, but still.

#3) Private prisons have one goal: Profit. Not to rehabilitate or to make the world better.

#4) Hmm.. I would... on the condition that more research and study is done to prove that a campaign/funding for the problem actually makes the rate go up.

#5) I wouldn't say dumbass, but I do disagree with many things he says.

Sorry, Tang. I've been busy making money so that you can redistribute it.

Lets start with this. I have been telling you for a long time that every suggestion you have requires government intervention. You just proved my point. You just gave me 9 solutions that involve government intervention. So, what you're telling me is that you believe the government can solve all of our problems. Also, most of your solutions require more spending by the government. The government doesn't produce anything and is already $21 Trillion in debt. Where does this money come from? I know. Lets tax the top 1%. I guess 40% of their income already going to the federal government is not enough. Lets make it 60%. Just because they either worked hard or were extremely innovative, they still don't deserve to keep what they've earned. It's better to give it to perfectly healthy people without jobs.

Now, lets talk about your list:

1. I've worked in an inner city school. Funding is not an issue. The problem is that the kids don't care about education. Why do they not care? Because it is not stressed at home. If you would like to hear some of comments that I heard, let me know and I will be glad to share. Kids who take education serious in poor schools are chastised by their peers. If you really want these schools to thrive, you have to be quicker to dismiss the children with behavioral issues. The biggest problem is that teachers are not able to teach because they can't get control of their classrooms. Money can't fix that.

2. I'm okay with this. I think the majority of cops are honest, decent people who work very stressful and dangerous jobs, but I don't see any harm in this.

3. See #2.

4. Don't have any knowledge on this.

5. Stupid idea. We need an assurance that the person who is voting is who he says he is. Now, if you wanted to add pictures to voter registration cards, i'm okay with that.

6. Invest what? If you mean money, how will it help? Where will the money come from?

7. Public defenders are the lowest paid of all lawyers. Why would the better ones want to take this job?

8. Banks are in the business of making money. If they deem you a default risk, they will not lend to you. Banks do not care which race you are. If you have good credit and a stable income they will loan to you.

9. Invest what? If you mean money, prove to me that these programs work. Also, where is this money going to come from?

By the way, the 3 articles that you posted prove an earlier that I made. When you hear about racism, it seems to always be in a liberal city.
5/8/2018 11:43 PM
I will address those later, gonna really think through my arguments.

As for the liberal part, could it be that most big cities are liberal, and more stuff is reported in big cities?

Btw CCCP, I assume you like that the US pulled out of the Iran deal? If so, why? I want to hear your arguments because it makes zero sense to me.

It could be, but I live in an area that's supposed to be the most racist area in the country (rural GA) and everyone just gets along. There are some old timers left that are still racist, but it is not prevalent here. I truly believe that the dems could care less about minorities. They just want their vote.

I wanted to get more detailed with my response for your solutions, but I didn't have the energy.

I don't trust Iran. I also don't trust our media or any media. So it is tough for me to judge DJT or BHO. If someone could give me honest detail on the deal and monitoring I would opine better.

It sound as though I am dodging your question. I apologize. But I truly don't have enough details to opine fairly. Israel said it was a bad deal and I side with Israel 100x out of 100 so I will side with DJT on that one. To me, rightly or wrongly the Islamic countries are corrupt. They all treat women like 2nd class citizens at best, they hate dogs and they cannot separate church and state. Apostasy is punishable by death. If you are gay you are killed.

Tough for me to side with Islamic countries on anything.

The WWE was recently in KSA. Only the men were allowed to perform. In the audience, women were only allowed if accompanied by a man. I know KSA is not Iran but honestly, their backwards cultures annoy me.
