The novella length review of L.A. Noire is ok.  I agree with a lot of it.  I'm only a little over halfway through the game though.

Writing about HBO extras was a good idea...**** execution though.  Blackmink, a borrowed computer, and IMDB could've cranked out that PoS.

I don't care about Wrigley field.

AV Club had a great interview with Dan Harmon about Community, but he really takes television too siriusly.

I'm optomistic about the whole thing.  I think Simmons analysis of sports has gotten worse over time.  I know he wites like he knows whats going on but he really has no effing clue.  But I like his pop culture references.  Klosterman is Meh, The article on HBO was good.  I'm waiting for Gladwell's debut. I am excited about the reality TV draft and fantasy league.

I wish we could still edit other people's posts.

I like a few of the Grantland writers, but the medium of not actually writing on current events but instead writing opinion thereof, might create a disconnect between the site and the intended readers. I think some of the writers on their own can pull off the concept, and I'm sure Barnwell will back his **** up statistically, but I don't know how many people will be checking back for a glorified livejournal.

I like Klosterman stuff fairly often, but most of the writers on it aren't that interesting to me...  combined with the fact that they are going to be trying to get all edgy and outside the norm instead of focusing on the hot topics (which I think is what you are saying here) means I will probably rarely, if ever go to the site.

The google doodle on the website yesterday was a tribute to Les Paul and had guitar strings that played whenever you moved your mouse over it.

Grantland won't be groundbreaking. It'll probably just be people trying too hard to write to an oversimplified market and just taking the internet too siriusly.

People should just check here for that.
