There are usually lots of Canuck fans at the games I attend. I would say as many as 15-20% cheer for the Canucks. Lots of Canuck jerseys around thats for sure.
I'll have to admitt that I have never had any troubles with disrespectful Oiler fans in the crowd. I remember my buddy and I giving it to Messier one time when he was in the penalty box in the deciding game of the conference finals Vs Minnesota back in the early 90's. Minnesota won and went on to lose to Pittsburgh in the finals. Most the fans were pretty good about it but we did get some evil eyes shot in our direction.
Not all Oiler fans are like flipper, put it that way.
I have been to one game in Edmonton and no problem with the fans. I am good luck for the Canucks as the Canucks are19-1-3 with me in the crowd, (first game in 1990 spread out over 20 seasons) with the only loss coming in Vancouver vs. Calgary 4 years ago. I find Flamefans to be the worst (not you Holer or Gmike). Only been to one playoff game back in 1993 (my 30th B-day) we beat the Jets 8 to something, I am going to go to some playoff games this season. I have not been to a game in Vancouver since the Gold Medal Game can't beleive it has been 2 years already since Crosby's GOLDEN GOAL. Enjoy the game 6-2 Canuck win!!!!
