Hey styckman, I did go back and re-read your original post, and you did in fact say "all in good fun", so I guess I kind of took your post out of context.
I didn't give you the benefit of the doubt and for that I apologize.
What caught my attention was, as a new grandfather I'm lookng forward to taking my granddaughter to hockey games and introducing her to the sport that I've enjoyed my whole life. But as a parent I think you'll agree you tend too see and hear things at hockey games that need a lot of explaining on the way home. I'm sure you already know how impressionable kids are at that age, so it really use to irk me when I took my kids to the rink and you end up sitting beside "the fan from hell". I'm the first to agree that people payed for their ticket and they have the right to scream at the refs, yell at the players, boo, sing chant or whatever. It's just that it's still a family event and unfortunately a lot of devoted fans get caught up in the excitment, and end up saying and doing some things that takes some of the fun out of it for other spectators. I thought that was what you were kind of indicating in you post, and obviously I misinterpeted your point. It's kind of like these threads, we all say all stuff and banter back and forth and it's not really a big deal, but we propably wouldn't want our kids or grandkids to read it.
Anyway, for what it's worth It was my mistake.
