I won't ever diss Cody, but it will be interesting to see how he handles more ice time in Buffalo.  When you play 3rd or 4th line minutes on a GOOD TEAM like Vancouver you are playing against the other teams 3rd or 4th liners?  Let's face it, the Sedins get the other team's top shut down line EVERY SHIFT.  Our top PP line has to play against the other teams top PK line....yadda yadda.  So a good player like Hodgson should thrive on those 3rd/4th line minutes versus the other teams lower ranking players?  Let's see how Cody handles playing against every teams top shut down line.  Or how he plays on the top PP line versus the other teams top PK line?  He is a great prospect and I will miss watching him develope into an NHL star.....BUT.......Let's judge the trade in 3 to 5 years.

2-0 win over the Blues. Big win in a game that was kinda boring to watch most the time. The pace picked up after the Canucks finally scored a goal in the 3rd period. Kassian has looked good in two games played so far. Luongo played great and deserved to finally get a S/O.

Now we have to greet Cody and the Sabres to Vancouver. Cody is going to hear the love this city had for him in his short tender with the big team. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if he scored the only goal in a 3-1 victory over the Sabres tonight.

Agree.........Ramping up for another long  (LLLL(u)OOOONNNGGGG (o) playoff run?)  Hopefully a long playoff run, with Lu on a short leash?  Glad we kept Schneider at the deadline...........This team has lots of up and coming talent.......Glad Gillis stayed the course.

 Interesting to see how Kassian plays tonite? may be tough to plaster guys he was buddies with last week ..i can give the kid a break tonite if he doesnt follow  thru on some bone crushers,take the man and play your position...if he goes balls to the wall and smokes his former teammates ill be more than impressed..different game for Cody though im sure he will get some quality minutes on the pp and get some grade A opps versus our goaltender

Still waiting to see highlights on TSN but the box score doesn't look good for Roberto. A .571 save % is not going to cut it. Maybe Gillis really does have the balls to trade Luo. The Hodgson trade come out of nowhere, at least from the info I get here in Alberta. I think there will be a lot of tire kickers out there that could free up some good talent for Luo. Washington is the first team that comes to mind. Also Tampa and Toronto.
