 there it is ...i was waiting for the weak back breaker that usually happens...3 goals ..what 20 shots?  thought so ...

When your goalie lets in 7 goals in 2 loses and is arguably the best player on your team so far in the series you are in trouble.  A lot of players missed the memo that playoffs have started

 True but wasnt the 3rd goal the winning goal? the weak a$$ one ? ..big time goalies like Fuhr and Roy make that save on the 2nd goal..

silver lining to this debacle may be that the powers that be realize what a  joke Luongo is and they trade the right guy this summer

I would start Schneider game 3.  Over the summer given the choice I would keep Schneider and trade Luongo if for no other reason than Schneider is younger and coming onto his best seasons, Luongo is declining from his best seasons now.  I also think 3-4 seasons from now Lack is the best of the 3 goalies currently in the Canucks system.

 I really cant see what the problem is ? i beat  J.Quick like a crack addicted whore in NHL 11..cmon guys...I agree Paul ..Schneider and Lack would solidify our goaltending for the next decade f#ck Luongo!

 Im ok with the Canucks losing this playoff but iam NOT ok with trading Schneider, to me  that just says we are doomed to another 40 years of futility ..i refuse to be a Canuck fan any longer if we lose a 1st rd match up and we trade the next great goalie ..i just refuse to accept that ..we lose and Luongo is history ..i dont care if we bury him  in the minors ..Schneids and Lack are our future not this idiot who cant win the big game ...im sick and tired of this fraud..

I agree with this........Even if we win the CUP???  Luongo has to go for the future of the franchise.......

 I say Schneider starts and stops 50 shots and steals a 1 goal game ,and gets in the kings head ...Canucks in 7 ...unless for some unforseen reason the brass puts luongo in again ,,

Im watching all these highlites from around the league and these other teams got it right , unlike the Canucks who have a scrum and talk about things after their star players take a hit or get punched in the face .. Carkner and Neil go after Boyle drop the gloves and kick the sh!t out of the guy, they dont ask or talk to him , they just feed him..thats the way it should be ..good on the Senators ..plus they won..take note Canucks

When the lock out ended the game went to speed and skill.  Canucks did a good job in building a strong team for that style of play.

In the last 12 months the game has changed.  They had an interesting discussion about this on Hockey night in Canada last night.  Now the game is all about brute strength, solid goaltending and a defensive system.  Judging by the absolute lack of calls this playoffs the league is happy to see the style of game change.  The league gives lip service to reducing head injuries and tightening up on calls but are not following through.  Expect to see a complete change in players, and a ton more injuries to star players.  We're going back to a combination of 70's brutality and early 00's trap system.
