I'm confused on the clone rule. My thought is if I drafted a player like Chris Paul 9-11, I can't draft another Chris Paul in any price range. But from the thread it seems like I can if he played on a different team (say Clippers vs Pelicans).

No, if you draft any Chris Paul, that’s it. No more Chris Pauls for you. Other people can draft him, as long as he is in a different price range.

If a player gets traded in mid season, more than one partial season of that player or the combined seasons of that player are all eligible, as long as they are in different price ranges.

A good example is the James Harden 3-4 and the James Harden 4-5. They are both from the same season, they are both eligible to be drafted, they just can’t both be drafted by one person.

I was told I could draft now because everyone else has picked in the 7-8 range? If I do do I lose my 5th round pick? Bc if so wouldnt make more sense for me to wait and go ahead and pick from the other price ranges since those options are going to be taken away the longer I wait? I will if I HAVE to but if I can I will wait to pick 7-8 at the end. If I dont lose my round 5 pick I will also pick right away.

If you are not taking a 7-8 player, you'll just wait to draft. I think.

It's not confusing. It's pretty simple, actually. If you're up in 4 picks, but everyone in front of you has already selected a $7-8M player then you can go ahead and select from that range if you choose to do so. You do not HAVE to select from that particular range and you can choose to wait.
