Well, progress report:
In world 3, I had set the lowest five minute players on the depth chart to: Jason Terry, Wesley Person, Brandon Wright (unfortunately), Elton Brand, and Zelmo Beaty. Chris Boucher was on the DC for three more minutes than Brand and was starting, yet when "Clear the Bench" activated, Brand (2,455 minutes) remained on the sideline and Boucher (1,655 minutes) remained in the game. What the ****? He wasn't shooting a free throw, either, so there was no reason he had to remain in the game.
(ignoring the part where it put him at SG and Person at SF because that's been a problem forever).
Then 32-seconds later, it correctly put Brand in.
(and shifted Zelmo to SF & put Brand in at C... grrr)
-----------------------------
In World 4, the lowest 5 minutes on depth chart are Dragic, Terry, Person, Zelmo, and Bellamy. CTB comes in, and Barry & Brand are still in the game. Brand is shooting free throws, so that makes sense, but why is Barry there? He's on the DC for 38 minutes. The next stoppage of play, cool, Barry is taken out for Terry, but Brand remains in the game (and they inexplicably move him to C and Bellamy to SF. Again, known issue... arrrg but w/e). More than a minute later there's finally another stoppage of play & Dragic finally comes in for Brand. Then some other weird **** happens when the CTB threshold is passed: it brings in all of my starters (as it should) except Barry. They leave in Person, who has exactly zero minutes on the depth chart. Then once there's a stoppage of play and we're back above the CTB threshold, they bring in only Bellamy, taking Oscar out. Person is now my PG, Brand SG, Lucas SF, Bellamy PF, Howard at C. It's another minute before there's a stoppage of play and it correctly takes out my starters.
Fouls are on very aggressive and nobody has fouled out.
It's almost like once CTB is triggered, it just devolves into chaos. There seems to be no discernible pattern for when it makes substitutions on top of what position they put them in, even once you fall below the CTB threshold and it's supposed to put everyone back in. It's like it breaks something. I'm seriously rethinking how I use CTB.
