It is strange how Shaq and Dwight seem to regularly underperform. With Dwight maybe it's the sloppy play. Shaq, I'm really not sure. Teams often forget to surround him with plus rebounding; he doesn't swing the category in either direction by himself. Putrid FTs for both as well.

Some of the stronger owners seem to be gravitating to the end or middle of the 1st, so owner bias may be in effect. It's also still not that huge of a sample size. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see at least one of them get a title in the next few seasons.

For #1, is this KD's best finish? I'll throw him in for #3 as well, I think he's had a few good seasons in a row.

Tops picks are easy to use and top owners usually end up mid to late first. I figure that has a lot to do with underperforming players from 5-12.

Shaq and Dwight actually have the 3rd and 4th highest win percentage of all the 34 for 34 1st rounders. I've brought Dwight to 60 wins twice, topping out at 63 wins (3rd highest finish ever and best in over 20 seasons) , but both times fell just short. I think it's actually more of a random thing that they haven't won a ship in that span.

Durant has won 60 games very recently so nope.

Off the top of my head I don't see why Dwight Howard would always be a first round pick but not Oscar Robertson, Garnett, Barkley, Stockton and Magic.

Okay, looking at it closer I guess it's the 100 defense he provides in 3 of his 4 highest salaried seasons along with great rebounding and a strong eFG.

Hint for number 1: For both players, this was only the second time they were drafted in the 1st round.

Hint for number 2: Won 30 games or less for the 1st time.

Hint for number 3: This player has been guessed for a different question.

I was thinking the 12 who have always been first round picks, but that's not the question here.
