Then again, maybe they don't.

As a lifelong Red Sox -- and transplanted Phillies fan -- we carry the requisite Yankee-hating gene that all good and true New Englanders are born with. (How bad is it? When our family went to Canton to visit the Pro Football HOF, we took a five-mile side trip to the Sunset Hills Burial Park so we could dance on Thurmon Munson's grave.) So we can actually feel good about this selection as it now guarantees that the Evil Empire will have absolutely no shot whatsoever at winning this leg of our beloved Rule V league. Just one less AL team for us to worry about now.
