Here's a fun table. Again, this is based on your current salary + the average salary of the available remaining players that you still need (average per bucket). This is the same calculation that appears at the end of the MATRIX by Bucket, although this table is up to the minute (and sorted).

What's cool about this table is that it changes with every pick. If somebody drafts an SP3 that costs $9M and the average salary of the available SP3's is $7.2M, every person who still needs an SP3 sees his Expected Salary decrease a little bit (since the average salary of available SP3's decrease with the removal of this $9M player). The person who drafted the $9M SP3 sees $1.8M bump in his Expected Salary.

Of course, the opposite effect happens when somebody drafts a cheaper-than-average player.

1976 Mark Fidrych SP4 7,189,617

Summer of '76 after my freshman year at college, I went to Ocean City, MD for a weekend with a bunch of my high school pals. Maybe ten of us and 50/50 boys and girls. We managed to find an oceanfront motel where we could stay and the party was on! The girls were rocking their bikinis and of course there was alot of alcohol to be had. The boys, all of us morons with hot chicks looking for some fun in the sun, spent Saturday afternoon watching "The Bird" pitch on the NBC Game of The Week.

What can I say, it was baseball...

Looks like I've got more budgeted for the other positions than most other folks. Right now my "ideal" roster checks in at just over $100M.

Really? You must have budgeted the most expensive player left at every position, It seems like it would be hard for you to get up to $100M (before the Bonus player gets added)... just like it's probably hard, if not impossible for footballmm11 to get *down* to $100M.
There are a lot of positions where the player I have budgeted is well above the average, but there's only one position where I have the absolute highest-salaried player available penciled in.

And in doing this, I realized one of the players I was interested in was taken, so time for me to redo everything AGAIN.
