Theelfpat is up. He's a rookie but he has almost 16,000 posts and 46 teams... Either way he has no active teams and has not checked his sitemail yet so I don't know how often he's around. Maybe he forgot we were starting today.

i dont think we should just skip him...set up a schedule starting tomorrow with 1 hour picking blocks. send out a sitemail to everyone with the pick schedule for the next 3 days or so (so first 3 rounds). if he doesnt respond or misses his pick when there are timed slots, then he can be skipped...but dont skip him just because you want the draft to move but havent set up a time for it to do so.

I can volunteer to draft for the team. Although, I imagine the commish might want to do that. Anyway, I imagine we will hear from him soon and what is going to happen

We'll hold up for now. After all, it's not like we're going to play immediately.

We'll wait and see if Theelfpat answers his smails. If not, we'll seek a replacement.

As for timing, we may go that route. Because we're not in a hurry, we can let everyone make their picks as much as possible.

I know we have a lot of time but the couple week layoff before the draft and now this kind of kills some excitement. The longer we get in to the actual MLB season the less fun the draft will be too IMO (some sleepers will have already risen, there's already injuries etc..).

The guy doesn't have any active teams and he hasn't checked his sitemail in 3 days. If he can't show up 3 weeks after signing up do we think he can be relied on to show in 6 months to play the season?
