Potential - past, present, and future Topic

General idea:

IBA D2 just finished recruiting. 2 teams in the other division landed some excellent recruits that I also scouted. I know right now, over the course the next few years, exactly what I expect from those players, from a ratings standpoint. There's no mystery to it. I see the type of team they are building and have no choice but to build, because of who they have recruited, that I had access to.

I almost wish that FSS was more something you paid for on a per - player basis. With individual PLAYERS in farther states costing more. So you could get the full FSS writeup on individual players instead of full states.

There's nothing specific to tell until we've had a chance to look at the current logic and determine if any changes would improve it.

Is it changing the player creation as much as it's changing the player destination? I've said it recently, WhatIfSports is running a bit more like ThisIsSports. Dictating how that player will develop. So maybe the correct answer is to look at what the end results of the players are and work backwards, if potential is to remain in it's current state.

seble i am curious if there is a beta world that could be utilized with some vets or something so you could get back more instant feedback on things? Just a thought, might calm some others knowing that other users had pretested it.

Depends on the size of the changes. If it's an overhaul of the SimEngine or significant changes to player creation, then yes we'll likely run a test world and let some people give us pre-release feedback.

The first post of this thread put a big smile on my face. I'd played HD for several years, and never once had there been a thread started like that, let alone a public mea culpa.

After being increasingly discouraged and put off by the stonewalling and closemindedness of the previous regime, I'm growing more and more optimistic due to the open lines of communication and willingness (nay, eagerness) to listen to the coaches.

And seble, if you haven't already, I implore you to check out the "simple things to improve HD" thread currently a few topics down.

There are a bunch of great ideas in there, many of which have been clamored for for quite some time, and many of which would be very easy and quick to implement.
