I'm down for a draft or for the alternative. To be perfectly honest, I just want to get this league off the ground. Low salary leagues are a blast, and way more challenging and skill driven than a lot of theme leagues.

We can take a vote on draft or no draft if we can actually fill this thing - I'm not confident that we will get enough soldiers.

Draft would be the first stage, then peeps would get their teams in the league in a timely fashion.

Not sure the draft is set in stone - I'm open to doing this league w/o a draft.

don't know how huge of a problem it would be w/this format. tons of guys above 7mil that make a draft logical, but also enough guys above 7 mil to support nc's position.

i would prefer the draft, but if i get enough feedback from people wanting it the other way around i will happily oblige them.

It would be nice to get some reasonable form of this theme going. I'm not that good at the low salary leagues but they are really fun to participate in.

been away from wis for a few weeks.... getting settled into saudi arabia has been a huge task. coming up for air now. anyway, glad to be back. i completely agree with nc, a 22 mil draft with a mandatory big fish over 7 mil puts an unfair advantage with the top five picks.

i would love to join this league if we can perhaps do away with the draft. besides, living where i am at the moment, not sure i could participate in a draft, and do it well.

let me know if the draft situation changes, and i'll join. btw, i like the big fish concept a lot! nice going there.

Sounds good scudmissle. The idea for this league just kept intriguing me more and more as we all suffered through colonels19's rants in the forum, from your $20 million league, concerning Wilt's perceived lack of dominance.

Shapandrew7 offered to take the lead to get this going and I think that it will be a good one.

I am leaning against a draft if that is what it takes to get the ball rolling here. Glad you are back scud.

Yeah. Just unfortunate that the no draft means we'll just see the same five players on every team as the six mil.

Can we have a wilt limit?

A_in_the_b I would be very surprised if a team with Wilt was able to dominate and/or win a $22 million league like this. At $20 million Trevor was about 2000 minutes low on his roster. And the players usages were so poor etc. that even at $2 million more, in a league that is exactly $2 million higher, IMO a Wilt team is kind of handicapped.

Actually, it looks liek you can make a 22 mil wilt team with enough minutes which seems to have enough useage. . . .

it has some flaws and I'm not sure how well it woudl do, but. . .

welcome, stopperbowl! these teams get crushed by OL squads, but you can get real creative and use dudes you never would even think of bringing out.
