Signing IFA to MLB contracts Topic

I don't think this is exactly correct - an MLB offer can be made for less than $327 a year.

Thanks for bumping an old thread. They have fixed the 40 man glitch.

40-Man Roster Update

Until this point, we have allowed users to remove players with minor league options from the 40-man roster at will. This will be updated to correspond with MLB rules. In order to remove ANY player from the 40-man roster, he must pass through waivers. This is an important change and it makes signing prospects to major league deals much more meaningful.

You can still offer IFA's ML contracts, but you by the time they are ready options will be gone.

By the way Opie, you lurked on this site for 4 years before you purchased a team. That is a long time to research....

Actually I got interested from a blogger I read four years ago and didn't return until I was re-encouraged to check it out. This is my first season playing and am addicted.

I think the glitch with the player named earlier in the thread was that if you never remove from the 40-man (or move to BL roster), the option clock didn't start ticking. I think that has been fixed too.
