Here we go....

Taint's pick just highlights another problem that was never solved. I never could get an answer on whether or not we had an IR or not, so I didn't draft Pie Traynor or another player I was looking at.

Why do players have to be drafted and complaining start before we get rules clarifications?

I'm out unless we start over from scratch--new draft order, new years and new available players and clear rules. But if you have a quorum for continuing, go ahead without me. I'm cool with that.

We started the draft, things aren't off enough to warrant a reboot, let's keep going. If enough people want to start over, I'll go with that too, but only if we completely reboot. By that I mean reassigning years to positions so that we have a new player pool. Redoing the current draft seems like a complete waste of time and I'm not real interested in that.<!-- Message body -->

I echo this comment. I don't feel too excited about a restart, but if we completely re-did it with new years, etc. I would be willing to give things another go.

I think a restart of the draft with new years would be the right thing to do but if the majority want to pick up where we off I'm definitely still in.

I'm leaning toward a restart but I'm in either way

We definitely would have IR.

Pie Traynor was a make up pick for one missed yesteday.

I've heard from two owners who say they're out completely. A few who are very shaky on staying, and a few, including some here, who want to do a re-boot of some kind. There's also some I haven't heard from at all.

I'd like to continue as we were, with the rules clarifications I posted on page one of this thread. I fear however that if we attempt to continue this tomorrow, we'd be seeing more problems with keeping owners on board.

If we completely re-boot, we'll lose some people, if we stay on course, we're going to lose some people.

I've never bailed on a league, yet. If it continues, I'll stay in. If it folds, I would like to know as soon as possible.

So no matter what we do we're going to have to replace owners.

Guess in the end it may be your call on what we do, but this current draft is definitely on hold until we have 24 confirmed owners.

Like I said, I'm in for continuation or reboot.

Looks like at least two owners are saying that they are out. One is willing to stay if we do a re-boot. I count six owners in the forum currently calling for a re-boot as well. There may still be significant issues with the current available player list, and there's no quick and easy way to verify it completely.

If we were to re-boot with different seasons, a complete do-over with the same concept but different players, how many of you would be on board?

And if you would be on board, how would you feel about a 16 or 20 team league instead of looking for new owners should some people drop out?

I think we're going to be losing people no matter which direction we go, I just want to get a count of who would be on board for a complete re-do. I will have to make a decision ASAP on if I can continue as acting commish and try to keep this league going. Feel free to sitemail me or post in the forum with your response.

If we are voting, I say start it over.... but I will stay either way...
10/29/2009 2:51 PM
As I said, I'm in with a redo.
10/29/2009 2:56 PM
ok thanks -

just to keep track, I'll put votes into one of these categories, based on comments on this thread and sitemails. I've heard from a little over half the league on this.

In either way: 6
Out either way: 1
In with reboot only: 6
In with status quo only: 1

And please also share your opinions on the possibility of a smaller, 20 or 16 team league.

So far, it looks like the reboot idea is picking up steam.

It would require new research for everyone of course. I could put together AP lists today and tomorrow and we could set a re-start date for next week.

IF we were to do this, how much time would everyone need to be ready for a new round one?
