i was leary of some of his seasons, williams and dimaggio i was scared of by the war, mantle has injury problems and my choice was mays or pujols....

my worry was that maybe the value of some of those seasons was more in innings pitched than actual value. if you stack him up against like w. johnson or maddux etc he's just not quite as exciting. if you'd have made me an offer i may have accepted it just to take the pressure off screwing up the first pick:). although i think albert will do just fine, with his one season of ops below 1000.
