The Death of World Foxx Topic

I am in the world. I took over a great team and view it as a cash cow to pay for my private league team.

I have vetoed most of the trades that have been made, but I guess no one else cares. Either way the team I took over won a championship for me, and I have 24/25 returning, and still have a couple of guys that can keep it going for the next 3-4 seasons.

But yeah, its pretty bad. When I joined the league last year he was offering me all sorts of 3 for 1 combinations for my #10 pick who projects to be a 90-90 split reliver, so Im guessing he gets new owners in the public league and makes the combinations until the accept?

Thats crazy, but like many here have said, if they cant garner 8 "veto" votes in that world, it doesnt seem like anyone in that world cares what happens. I cant see how a world that lopsided would ever fill without people like him buying multiple seasons

Maybe that's just it... maybe they can't get enough Veto votes bcuz the Bornloser guy is running a bunch of the teams. Even the bigget tool wouldn't veto himself, would he?

It doesn't matter anymore. With as much talent as he has, he can continue to offer good players for the top draft picks.

Seen it firsthand. The damage done by 3 seasons of it can't be undone. At least not over the next 10 seasons. You can beat 'em in a short series but you can't stop them from winning 110 every year.

How can any team in HBD considered a cash cow? You have to make the world series for the team to pay for itself.

All owners are guilty. Even if you do veto his trades.

I unknowingly stepped into this mess. Right out of the gate he hit me up with a 3 for 1 of very good players for the only player on my entire roster of worth. A pitcher projected out into the upper 80s and former high draft pick. I declined his offer because the team needs time, not giving up a STUD for 3 good players to attempt to compete now. That was before I saw the posts explaining what his scam was. I have been hitting veto as much as possible.I probably won't stay in the league after this season if there is no support from other owners to curtail his abuse of newbies.

Then when you try to join another world, you'll be accused of doing a one-and-done... go fig

Most commishes ask why. And I, for one, fully understand leaving public worlds. I three when they went public. And I'll leave any other that go public. Why? Because I'm not dealing with the crap that we're discussing in this thread.
