Each team can only lose ONE player per round

K, thanks

which also means that the last team to draft gets to pick from only ONE team(and it may be his own team)

this is true. good pt. he will just have to pick one from his team and then 4 more keepers. however he will have first pick in next rd.

the four rds was just to spice things up NOT make or break a team. it reminds me of the old expansion drafts OR when you have a holiday party and everyone brings a gift then randomly picks and trades gifts...

Just thinking out loud

Would it possible to allow the picking of one(or two) of your own unused rookies during the rookie draft each year? It may be 10, 11, 12 or more years before your own team gets to be drafted from.

when i conduct prog drafts i like to list every player available at each position. next year I will list ALL angels and Sens/Rangers rookies 1961-2009. if we allow for one rookie from each team the draft pool will be too big for me to enter all the names. it could potentially be awhile for some teams to reappear but that should make this prog last longer.

When it's your turn to pick in the draft, can you pick a player from your own team as long as nobody has picked a player from your team yet that round?
11/12/2009 2:07 PM
I guess people missed the part where you said sitemail the 10 keepers privately so that no one knows the salary that will determine draft order...

good question. thats sort of a loophole. i prefer that owners DO NOT select from their nominees unless they are forced to at the end of the round with the last pick.

its not mandatory. i just posed it as an option because i know how strategic many owners are...

i will be double checking salaries as well to confirm
