What will the penalty be for teams that go over the 3 starts for their real life starters? Last go around, my team was screwed because there were a pair of teams that made the playoffs whose pitchers went well over these limits. Will they be forfeited games for all those starts? I kept my Braves starters under the limits, but in the end I should have just gone over like the other teams did.

I apologize Habs, the last go-around was during a crazy-busy time and I wasn't able to police things like I should have. I have more time in the upcoming months so that shouldn't be an issue. I will make sure owners that are heading toward violating the rule are repeatedly made aware.

Let's do this, I'll relax the rule just a bit. I'll make it 5 starts over and also add that any pitcher can make up to 20 starts. That should make it easier for owners to adhere to the rules. That still should help to keep things realistic, which was the intention of the rule. Who wants to see Maddux or Gibson start 60 games for a team.

Since it's now easier for owners to not break the rules I'll make a stiff penalty for those that do. For each illegal start a pitcher makes the team will forfeit one game that the pitcher started against each of the 3 teams within the division.

Sounds good. Just was frustrated last time as I thought my team had a good shot. Anyways, I'll take Team 20. I take it those teams aren't "in order" yet? ie, those aren't in order according to the random set of numbers?

I'm new at this one - when do we get the random sequence?
12/4/2009 10:44 AM
Welcome back Habs. Welcome Caman.

I want to keep everything random, so admin won't give us the sequences until we're full. That would give owners signing up now an advantage to see what years they'd have.

Also, I ask all owners to stick with their team reguardless of the season's they get. Like I said, one season the team with the lowest payroll won the league.

I adjusted the estimated salary cap down. I think most teams will be between $80 and $90m with some teams in the '90's.
