Coach hiring solution #67 Topic

I don't, Braz. My concern is how WifS handles their complaints.

Essentially, 'tardcomm, this would be FA for coaches.

Maybe it would make more sense if unhired ML coaches from the previous season drop to AAA, AAA drop to AA, AA to A, A to RL, and unhired RL become used car salesmen. Or is that one of the first 66 solutions?

Yeah, it was. But it wasn't a very good one. As we'd just end up with 77 coaches seeking AAA PC jobs and only 24 seeking LoA PC jobs(because owners will still hire LoA candidates for higher levels).

I don't really mind some tweaking to my suggestion. Top 50% drop to AAA, next 20% to AA and 10% to RL/LoA/HiA, for instance. But, if it's a pain in the *** to program, it won't happen. Dumping all of them to RL and letting the owners sort it out seems quite simple. And workable.

Yes, as a matter of fact I have.
In order:
1. No job or job? Unemployment has hit double digits. I know several people working for less than they feel they are worth because, well, they need a job. [okay, sorry, I didn't realize you were talking about your RL acquaintances who were out of work. No offense intended, and I wish them good luck. In HBD, though, ML to RL is unrealistic.]
2. If other owners are bidding, the "cheap" will not play a part. As I said, they'll take the best offer on the table during the first signing cycle. [so the owner who can't be playing HBD that day is screwed? Oh, yeah, I recall now that you want to screw those guys. "If you can't play every cycle, you shouldn't be playing this game," or something to that effect, eh?] Wanna try paying a guy 600k for BL PC? Maybe someone else offered him 650k. You lose, cheapo.
3. If they went unhired in a season, my guess is they weren't quality FI. Are you really going to disagree about that? [no doubt some weren't but some probably were. You missed my point, either accidentally or deliberately.]

So, I ask you, did you really understand my suggestion? [Sure. It wasn't so hot. It proposes to fix something that isn't broken. It is a programming problem. On the positive side, swamplike, it brings you attention.] Or were you in such a rush to disagree that you didn't think it thru?

It isn't the worst suggestion I've seen on the forums, but it's completely unnecessary. I agree with the guy who said WIS should devote their attention to things that actually need it, even if he said it in a context of mocking Swamp. So, bottom line, maybe you get a C- or D+ with this suggestion.

Now I also know you can't tolerate anyone disagreeing with you, (even accurately as in this case), so I would expect you to start blustering soon, threaten redlines, etc. Have at it.

1. I'm talking about real life. Real life is how we determine "realism". People need to work. Of course, you may have some friends who are ex-BL pitching coaches who tell you "I'd rather be unemployed than work in AA." Or maybe you don't. Either way, HBD isn't 100% realistic. Coach hiring is the biggest gripe in HBD. Changing it might actually help.

2. I think it's 8-10 cycles before coaches start signing. If you can't make it for a day and a half, well, you'll just have to choose from some of the 200 other available coaches.

3. Show me a quality FI, in any world, who is 60+ and who went unhired. ANY WORLD.

No, I really don't think you did. Seeing as how you came back for more. Go troll elsewhere. I'm going back to my policy of ignoring aliases. And redlining trolls. So I'm sure you understand what happens to your next post in this thread.

Glad to be of assistance. Consider this to be a Xmas donation to the Special Olympics.
