Highly unlikely that you would be able to recruit a kid with an overall ranking at d2.

I'm over 10 evals but still getting the back-up message. He's ranked overall though and keeps confirming I am a back-up. So he will atleast drop to me at worst.

Sounds like someone else is also trying to pull him down too.

xactly I have had in what might have been a rare case a guy who gave me the bu message and never did pull down? I spent 10k in evals and he was under the 360 mark

One time it took me 25 evals to pull a player down, this was after he was already pulled down by another D2 team.

See that sucks my d2 team is a prestige and very few coaches pull down in the 2nd cycle like me glad im not the only one

oldave, i think you are talking d3. i feel like you need a little less to pull down in d3 than d2, so 8 may be enough with an a+ in d3 but is probably not enough with an a+ in d2.

also, to the OP, if you are just slightly over 10, you might not have put in enough effort yet. it can take 12-14 easily with lower prestige, and i don't think it requires somebody else trying to pull them down too.

What do you mean he would not be?

From what you've posted so far, he is open to being pulled down, but you haven't spent enough to accomplish it. How many scouting trips have you sent his way?

How was I wrong? I told him he wouldn't be open to normal recruiting efforts if he was not considering him, since he would not have been pulled down yet. How is that wrong?
Gotcha. I read it as he "would not be" pulled down. And where did I say anyone was wrong? I simply asked what you meant by the statement because it wasn't clear to me. Is asking a question considered crossing the line with you now?

And for the original poster: Nine evals is not nearly enough for a ranked player from a school with "B" prestige. You're probably looking at 15-20 evals, especially if it isn't a SF.

yeah, im talking d3.

He still didn't pull and im over 20 evals...I still have enough money to get a solid class. I'm starting to think maybe I should stop trying to pull him...if he drops, then he should be an easy signing since I already have money into him.

I have had some guys take over 40 evals... Seeing as you moved up so fast I think your loyalty will be an issue causing you to need to spend more effort. When I was on probation with F rep it was next to impossible to pull guys down. Took over 30 evals per person, but this season with it back to normal it has taken under 15.

Congrats on that D2 NT. I assume it's all predicated on SPD + ATH again?

I had some good cores, but yah we had insane ath/speed and pretty good reb. My bh/passing were next best, while my Lp/per were fairly low other then a couple players. My def was average and my FT shooting sucked. I have a feeling we can repeat only losing 1 player.

I've pulled players down with 8 evals at a D2 A+ prestige school, it can be done.
