i would say the difference in distro setting between triangle/motion is not drastic but very noticeable on my teams. if you saw the distro i played at season end you would know in 2 seconds which offense i was running. i think you can give distro to high end guys more with less penalty in triangle compared to motion, and low end guys at or near 0 distro with less penalty (particularly after the 5th player on the court). im sure part of that is because i believe it, i recruit for it, and that makes it true to some extent. but i do feel there is a noticeable difference.

i personally take bh over passing in motion, at least relative to my preferences in triangle. so i might still favor pass in the pg, depending on the type of pg, but it would be to a lesser extent than in triangle.

In regards to distro for my starting lineup I go 13 for my main guys and 11 for the others and the my backups are 7-9. Is that still too even...should I go for more of a difference

too even IMO

yup, too even.

there is no magic formula that i know of, just trial and error and pay attention to how well players are shooting (and thier TOs as well) as you adjust the distro.

I generally like to have my top scorers around 18-20. sometimes as low as 16 or 15, but that would indicate a team with a lot of scorers.

Some folks use a rule of thumb that no player should be higher than 20 distro... and i like that in general. i would only go over 20 once i have a really good feel for things and have a definite reason (such as "the kid continues to shoot a great percentage as i increase distro and i dont have many scorers so i would really like him to get more touches" or "somehting about this particular matchup tells me this kid could light it up", etc.

one other thing that i allways try to do is pay attention to each player's shooting percentage as the season wears on and keep tweaking the distro up (very slowly,,,1 or 2 points at a time) for the good shooters and keep tweaking it down for the poorer scorers.

and one other thing that i think is a common mistake..... "7-9 for backups"

i almost allways have one or two backups that are pretty decent scorers (often they are bad defensively which is why they come off the bench) and its not unusual for me to set thier distro at 18-20+.

I also have players , even on my best teams, that are just not that good offensively. maybe they are great defenisive players or rebounders or maybe great ballhandler/passer, but whether these guys start or not, I dont hesitate to set them to 1 or 2. that prolly is a bit overboard for motion as i admit that i often end up twesking these kids up to 4 or 5 by seasons end, but you get the idea.

I go 20+ for my main 2 then run 0-9 for the backups depending on matchups. remember 0="2" and i think distro for bigs is so hit or miss that sometimes its hard to get a handle on if there distro s to high

After expanding my main few guys to 17-18 distro, the other starters around 10-11 and the rest of the guys around 4-9 I have seen mixed results...but I guess that's what happens. There are nights when starters with around 11 or so score the most points and take the most shots and the guys with around 17 or so distro dont take many shots at all...i guess i will chalk it up to one of those weird whatif situations

Your Defense has looked good over the last 2 games. Still turning over the ball a little much but doing well.

Yeah...the TOs have sucked

I would up the distro for kees to like 25 and his 3's to 0 or +1 he should be the main option wiht the other 2 guards(metz and petersen) at like 12-20 each and maybe the rest at like 0-10 and I would play rich at the sf just my .02

Well my last game was out of whack...I thought I had a nice distro going and had some decent games...but then I laid an egg against a team that I crushed earlier in the season.
