As a former Puerto Rico Bayamon and Cayey coach, I usually just threw out a few phone calls and waited for dropdowns. It just seemed too expensive to try to pull guys on the mainland down. It seemed like you could get comparable drop-downs that were undecided near the end of recruiting. That being said, if you can pull a local like Tejada down you should do it.
