That's probably a good idea. It probably reduces cheating by 20-40%, which is more effective than anyhting that WIS does to prevent cheating..

There honestly isn't much you can do other than contact WifS. In all likelihood, they'll do nothing and tell you to replace him at season's end.

Yup. Contacted WIS yesterday. I fully expect to have to wait until after the season, but it's a shame if that's the only result.

I hate to mention this, but it seems that your only other option is to buy him out. Offer him a GC for the $25 and have the team transferred to an owner you trust. I have seen other commishes do this before. Basically, without assistance from WifS, that may be your only option. Of course, you'd have to hope he accepts and you have to be willing to eat the $25....

other worlds do not deserve to get stuck with ####heads who do the kinds of things he's doing (and his is mild - compared to some of the shenanigans we've all seen).

Great idea! Outstanding! Instead of PMS we could have PMB -- Prodigal Manager Blackmail. PM buys into a stable league, throws such a tantrum, screws around so badly that he gets bought out.

It could fill worlds faster than they've ever filled before, that's for sure!

why? so that he can move on to another world and do the same thing again?

In Branch Rickey, we took a chance on a guy with limited experience, because he was in another good world and said all the right things. He then signed a ton of bad contracts and skipped out after one season, setting the team even further back from contention.

These people need to be outed, so other worlds and commishes don't look at a user history and say "hey, he was in Ron Cey, and I know that's a good world - why not give him a try?"

he doesn't show up as having a history in Mays because we had to replace him mid-season but he signed a bunch of guys to terrible long-term contracts and destroyed his minors. Seems to be his M.O.

At least the other inexperienced new owner you let into Branch Rickey turned out to be a heck of a guy, even if his teams suck
