I have no problem playing him at catcher in the minors, but I've found poor defensive catchers to be too much of a liability in the majors: too many stolen bases, pass balls and high pitcher ERA's due to the low pitch call rating. Just from my own experience. Like I said, if I were an AL team he'd be an easy choice for DH, but I just don't want to take the defensive hit. Especially because I have a comparable offensive catcher in the bigs now, who's much better defensively and only a couple years older. I just thought if there was a way he could improve in other areas, I could give him a shot at 1B. (As I said above, I based the question on a change in his projections, which I failed to attribute to the slight increase in ADV scouting, which I forgot I did.)
