no, its really that i don't know much about it. i played fb/man at the first school i coached, and i blamed my struggles on fb (for no reason, really), so i haven't gotten another look since. its very possible fb is every bit as good as all the other offenses, i just don't know.

I actually find it easier to gameplan against M2M for similar reasons. With the FCP, I can't necessarily target a weak defender and go after him because you never know who will be trapping where at what point. With M2M, it's alot easier to pick on and abuse a weak defender since you basically know what position he'll be playing on defense (barring any lineup changes by the opposing coach, of course).

Zone is the one that still throws me for a bit of a loop.

EXACTLY!

I've never run press and haven't had problems against the press in a long time because I also recruit for speed. The press teams aren't any faster than mine, so they have no real advantage.

The reason that press is so effective is because generally press teams are faster than non-press teams, even if their cores are a lot lower. It seems like speed is overvalued by the sim, but that doesn't mean non-pressing teams are barred from recruiting the same players.

Get speed, get passing, get rebounding, and the press is no longer magic.
