I added in the fact that they were up 12 at halftime of game 2....so +37 became -13...bad math. With that said, he's still got a legitimate right to be ****** off here, I'm not going 10+ pages on this but if this happened to any of y'all, you'd be ****** too, or you should be I think.

No, really not. I might be disappointed I lost, but ******?
No.

Not surprising, you always give WIS the benefit of the doubt that everything goes right all the time so....

or perhaps that an example like this is inadequate to show that it went wrong....anecdotes show little other than that rare stuff happens (if rarely).....

and some of what happened doesnt look that rare ....like radical change of positioning can cause changes. Heck, if a team changed from flat to minus 5 and the result didnt change folks could just as well say "this is insane....I changed my settings from neutral to minus 5 and it made no fng difference....like are these setting meaningless or what?"

All I said was that given the circumstances, he has a very good reason to be ****** off...just like when I lost to Montevallo earlier this season. Again, if you're always going to use the "its only one game" reasoning/excuse, then how can you ever perceivably see something wrong with the game? Not saying anything wrong happened, but he has every right to be ****** off...a minority result occurred.

I don't see anything wrong with a rant about a game you felt you should win. I'm sure we've all had games in which we had varying degrees of disappointment/frustration.

It should end there though with a rant to get the disappointment out of your system. Just because we don't like the result doesn't mean it isn't possible. I feel like ineverlose has essentially said that.

Why do we always seem to have polar opposites in discussions like these? The truth is somewhere in the middle.

of course nothing wrong with a rant.....but upon reflection one should consider whether it is

a. a broken engine

b. just an outlier

c. a result of changed settings

d. something else

ANd if one urges that its a broken SIM, more than a sort of abberant result would be needed to be convincing

What happened was probably in the less than 10th percentile possibility of what should have happened. Team A won game 1 on the road by 25 and is up 13 at halftime of game 2 at a neutral site...note the location improvement for team A....and they end up losing by 12, a 25 point swing in that very game. Let's face it, the settings weren't that different and this was a relatively unexpected result...the degree is in question, however if this happened to me, especially in the CT, I'd be hella ****** and this guy should be too. It doesn't really matter why it happened, it matters that it happened. Its virtually impossible to prove that there's something concretely wrong with the engine, especially when we can only surmise what the engine does/consists of...so the pro-WISers will always win this argument....not starting an argument here, just stating the obvious (or not so obvious). Its fair to wonder.

Let's call this Pole A (engine is broke)

LOL

i didnt think my little rant would create this. I have seen and read the forums at times and people take this thing WAY too seriously. It supposed to be for fun. For the amount of money we pay and the time spent it definitely worth it. Yeah there are some problems, but the people at Whatifsports.com made a pretty damn good game.

No. Really, I don't think they are, and I think quite a few people perceive your statements the same way and your continued posting does nothign at all to disabuse them of that notion.
