I can't find one either, but I think it is opposite, OLDER efforts get more credit than newer ones.

I had asked about this a few months ago, and I had gotten the same response, that older efforts are better than newer efforts. I'm glad I got the answer too, because I had always assumed that it was the exact opposite, that I would get squelched if I blew all my money on some guy and some "johhny come lately" would sweep in and pick him up just because he was "newer" if you will.

I'm not sure that I understand all that happened, but once he declined your schollie offer you had no offer on the table to him - so he could not accept it.

if he went to undecided and you still wanted him you need to get him a fresh scholarship offer and toss at least a bit of further effort his way - depending on what else has been done by others

Yeah. Your notion that you "kept" the schollie on him is mistaken. Also, when he declined the minutes, you should have recognized that you weren't a direction he was looking. You would have needed to woo him back from the beginning.

Well, the declined scholly could have been AFTER he signed with the 3rd team, not necessarily before that.

Ok this is what i did.

1) i sent a campus visit in the first cycle.

2) he turned green after that campus visit and was green for a few cycles.

3) while green i went on and offered him a scholly

4) Someone came in a few cycles later and turned him yellow, i still the scholly on him

5)about two cycles later he turned red, but i still scholly on him.

6) after signings he was still red and i saw the other team had signed 2 players at that position so i still the scholly on him.

7) when the other team signed all their recruits he sent me a message saying he loved my school and if noone showed him any love he was gonna sign with me. This is where i got mad because he went undecided instead of turning back green for me like they do in GD.

8) about 2 cycles later i got another letter from him saying too late. Some different school had gone after him and he ended up signing with that school.

Scholarships automaticly get declined when a player signs to another team.

Gin, can you not used green/yellow/red? Nobody knows wtf you are talking about. Just use 'considering me only', 'considering me + another school', 'undecided/not considering anyone' and 'just considering someone else.'

That'd help tons.

He did not decline it UNTIL he signed with the 3ed team. It was still on the table when the other guy got him.

gino is a GD coach ... in GD there of dots of this color to represent things:

Green - Considering Us
Yellow - Considering Us Among Others
Red - Considering others

So that is the context in which he is using the colors.

Thanks Johnny for the break down of the colors.

He never declined the scholly until he signed with the other school but he went undecided while i still had a scholly on him after he was considering only me.

Once he went undecided you needed to send him at least an HV. If he's not considering you he might still sign at the end of the signing period if nobody else offers him a scholarship. If they do, though, he'll happily take it without ever thinking twice.
