The other thing about the new engine Topic

Well, having played only 1 exibition game in Crum, I'm excited to see the results of the new engine over the course of a whole season. The game was starting to get a little stale for me, so hopefully this new engine will inject some new life into the product.

I think what you'll see is the better teams will be better, and the worse teams become worse. My teams have always been good, but I would rarely have anyone score over 10 PPG. I am having 3 guys score over 10PPG right now, and are even shooting over 50%. My guys are playing up to there ratings, and its tough to decide who to give the ball to because it seems like they are all unstoppable so far. I use to just set a pretty balanced distro and call it good, but now one game I'll have one at 40+ distro and then the another guy will get his turn the next. I can get guys to put up over 20PPG now while still shooting 50%, which use to almost never happen. Like someone said, the match up thing might be to easy to pick apart if you got the talent.

I agree with furry (I think) in that the way the distro shakes out every game seems to be pretty random and lopsided. Does it even matter what numbers we put in anymore?

No. As I read it Furry is talking about what HE sets his distro to each night. Settings.

Ah, I see. I misread it. For me, I'm setting distro pretty evenly (what I typically do at start of season) but the results tend to be pretty lopsided in the 4 games played so far.

I do agree at first when I had it set evenly that it'd be lopsided, which is why I started adjusting it. I'd have all my starters between 10-14, my back ups at 6-10 (who I want to score) then my nobodies at 0-3. My players would just go off for 20 points on like 12-15 shooting and nobody else shot over 5 attempts even with balanced distro - maybe not even the highest. When I started seeing that, I looked at the match up and was like "okay, that makes sense how he'd destroy him, but why'd he shoot so much." and then I decided to lean towards those match ups and adjust my distro more. Under the old engine it was almost pointless to adjust distro game by game IMO just because the results would only pan out every so often, and more times then not he wouldn't exactly be above his on the year stats anyways. Now its much different, and maybe to easy to make a player go off for a big game.

Solution to that would seem to be enabling the ability for players to guard places other than their own position.

Well, you can already do that, by adjusting your depth chart.

You are describing the prime reason why I stopped playing the game under the old engine, and why the new engine brought me back.
