yeah, the real life polls arent that accurate. understood. it's still an accomplishment to become ranked slash get a high rank. it's like a parallel goal to making a great team, rather than a goal that coincides with making a great team. makes it more interesting.
i understand where you are coming from. i don't think the game really works like that though... simulating real life college hoops. the part of the game that is close to simulating real life is the core of the sim engine, the part that takes 12 players on two teams and spits out a result. basically everything else is far from realistic. like recruiting, its not even close (how could you even make it close?). i personally feel thats the way it should be, the core sim engine should be designed to be realistic so people can start with a real basketball context and have it mean something. and everything else should be designed to be fun with little or no regard for realism. i have thought a lot about making my own sim engine, and that is definitely how i would do it. i guess to each his own... if you want everything that can be realistic to be realistic, then that makes sense. i just don't think that is where seble is coming from, and personally i agree with his approach to the realism question.
