Fact is the gap between a 1 seed and 16 seed in HD is nowhere near the gap it is in real life. In real life 1 seeds are probably 99% faves over 16 seeds and in the closest games probably a 96% fave. In HD I would say on average a 1 seed is 90% fave with the closes games being 75-80%. Going a step further if the 16 seed does get that 10% chance they will likely only be a 40% dog against the 8/9 seed.

...Because the better team ALWAYS wins, and number 1 seeds ALWAYS make the final four. Might as well not sim the NT and instead give the 1 RPI team the championship because they're the "best team" right? Wrong

Aren't most people crying that NT seeding is completely out of wack, yet here they gain some sort of divine relevancy?

My argument is and always has been, that real life doesn't/can't justify everything in this sim and if you always use RL to justify everything in the game, then you're essentially saying that there's nothing wrong with the game. Like I said earlier, real life examples have no place here...who cares that George Mason made the Final Four as an 11 seed in real life...it's a ton more improbable than that happening in HD because of all of kmason's reasons. With that said, the occasional 100 point victory in HD makes sense because unlike in real life, they're playing the full 40...no foot off the gas...no all scrubs on the floor at once (for the most part)...no 4 corners per se...and sometimes you face teams with anywhere between 5-10 walkons, thus 100 point victory (if/when it happens) tends to make sense in the context of HD, all factors considered. Human life on the other hand is the most random thing out there, and HD has set parameters.

Real life has set parameters. YOu just don't know them. Real life is complex, not random> T here is a large difference./
