Beaned Batters - Hidden Rating? Topic

Just checked my league out. We're at game 140 or so.  The 7 league leaders have been beaned 18-17-13-11-11-10-10 times.  Their temper #'s are 11-6-29-16-27-0-78.  Minus the last guy.....low tempers rule!

But, btw, my team leader in HBP's has a total of 6.  His temper is 99!

Go figure!

I think you have it backwards kc. Temper rating reflects 'how well' a guy responds which is to say that a higher rating would mean a better response to the adversity so the guy would go to first and move on. The lower temper guys are the ones that would charge the mound, get thrown out or just generally be thrown off their game for a while.

I have never seen it explained that way:  I've only ever heard that a 0 Temper will never argue or get thrown out of a game and a 99 Temper is a hothead that will get thrown out all the time.  The only players I have ever noticed being tossed from games are high Temper rating guys.

checked my 5 leagues and their was deffinetly alot of guys under 10, a few between 10-20 and even less ( maybe 5 total ) at 25-40 , and none over 40

I had a game in my minors the other day where my guys got hit 5 times. One guy twice. I checked all of their temper ratings. They were all low except for the guy who was hit twice. His number was like 79. But I think we have established that there is a pattern for sure. It's not that high numbers don't get hit, but low numbers seem to get hit more.
