Here are some evals. No hurt feelings, as always.
1) captainzen - Wilt Chamberlain, Mookie Blaylock, Ray Allen, Harry Gallatin, Kevin Martin, Connie Hawkins, Tim Legler Grade: C+
Wilt is Wilt, but everything after that was not so good. I appreciate the effort to draft high FTP to balance out Wilt, but Gallatin and Martin are probably not draftable players (and Hawkins and Legler are definitely not). The overall team might be pretty good because Wilt is so much better than everyone else and there are a lot of drafted threes.
2) sappy - Michael Jordan, Peja Stojakovic, David Lee, Rajon Rondo, Reggie Miller, Danny Fortson, Seadale Threatt Grade: C+
I’m not sure I like the 4 guard lineup. Rebounding will be a huge problem, as will defense.
3) ncih (1) - Charles Barkley, Ben Wallace, Gary Payton, Emeka Okafor, Mike Dunleavy Jr., Greg Anthony, Chris Gatling Grade: C
Barkley is probably not worth being picked this high now that he’s no longer 100% SF eligible. Relying on Mike Dunleavy to carry the scoring load in a 52 mil league is a recipe for disaster.
4) xxevilivexx - LeBron James, Paul Pierce, Deron Williams, Tyson Chandler, Jerome Williams, Kyle Korver, Udonis Haslem Grade: B
Lebron is pretty clearly the second best player in a 52 mil draft, so getting him at the fourth slot was a good move. Pierce is not a good complement, since he takes away one of LBJ’s primary advantages (100% SG eligibility). Chandler and Williams are serviceable, but both were probably picked a round too early. Korver and Haslem are probably not draftable bench guys. This team will be pretty good, but could have been great.
5) macphisto Moses Malone, Andrew Bogut, Brandon Jennings, John Salmons, Carlos Delfino, Ersan Ilyasova, Kurt Thomas Grade: Incomplete
Ha ha ha. Very funny.
6) banditone Kevin Durant, Mel Daniels, Walt Frazier, Maurice Cheeks, Jameer Nelson, Bob Pettit, Jason Collier Grade: C+
Durant was not worth the high pick, but what I can sympathize with the thrill of taking a whirl with his 09-10 season. Daniels and Frazier were great bargains. Cheeks is not a good fit, and Nelson was taken too high; they will be a below-average PG combo, which is not what you want from investing 4th and 5th round picks in a single position. Pettit is a bad choice, and Jason Collier might be the least productive non-Buck drafted.
7) uvasooner (1) Chris Paul, Clyde Drexler, Donyell Marshall, Zelmo Beaty, Zach Randolph, David Wesley, Kevin Love
I don't grade my own teams, but I'm pretty satisfied with this one.
