There was a part of me that really, really wanted to take him.  I don't know if your team will be good, but it certainly will be fun.

He will steal 1000 bases!

I definitely thought about Hamilton and some other speedsters, but I'm definitely curious to see how the Mick's circa 85% success rate translates.

ratioman and flazfizer - thanks to you guys, I managed to get Musial at all positions.

As for Hamilton, I considered him briefly, dismissed him, and now deeply regret it because I think he's going to kick butt with that OBP, Speed, and SBA/100SBO.  Also, his range should more than make up for his fielding, especially when compared to most of the rest of the guys in the league.

And that Mantle & Mathewson combo sounds pretty scary, too.

I was definitely happy to see Christy still on the board when my 2nd pick came up as he was my 2nd choice for my 1st pick.

I'll take Tom "Terrific" Seaver to pair with the hit king Pete Rose. I may kick myself for not taking a deadballer but we'll see.

Are injuries on or off? It could actually affect my decision. 

Also, given the discussion about Ruth as a pitcher, what if I wanted to do the most ridiculous thing every and actually use my hitter--Ted Freakin' Williams--as a mop up pitcher?  I haven't tried drafting him as a pitcher, but I assume our out of position trick should still work.

Forget it, just realized that my "brilliant" plan doesn't work given the limitations of the system.

That said, I'll go with Silver King and have half my innings be really good, and half really mediocre.
