you always get at least 1 per season, up to 3 maybe 4 max. Maybe one out of every 20 seasons or so you get one that goes from non-ML prospect to prospect, or you get a boost in a guy that was already a prospect.

I've got a very decent double DITR : http://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerProfile.aspx?pid=2198920
Dummy has been anywhere from pretty good to very good for me.  I guess I am lucky eh!

85 contact, 0 eye.  That defies logic.
Think Manny Sanguillen, C, Pittsburgh Pirates. He was a pitchers nightmare. He would swing at anything. Balls thrown 3 feet outside, way over his head, in the dirt, it didn't matter. I once saw him take a cut at a ball that was thrown behind him. (The opposition was trying to give him an intentional pass and he had fouled off a couple of pitches thrown way wide.)

Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Leo Castellanos

Was just a DiTR for me. Now projects to 71 OVR. May actually have a shot as a back-end SP or Sept. Callup-type. Great projected CTRL and Pitches, just some lower splits (50's).

Has anybody noticed a pattern in who is selected as a DITR? Does the player have to be a certain age, be at a certain level, have an OVR that is below a certain point? Anything like that?

In all my seasons I've got none. My theory Mr. lips or at least on what one should do, get rid of tryout camp pitchers. They seem to get selected as DITR a lot. And because they stink, you need some rating increase for them to be any good. Also, sign all your draftees. Lastly, splits. They usually don't move up a whole lot. So if a DITR is one that had low splits to begin with, they probably will still have low splits (those pre-mentioned tryout camp pitchers).
