thx brad - so girt, I'm gonna go with, yes, its happened, rarely, kinda like this...
LOL, OK, I give you that. But do you agree that quick foul outs (not necessarily two mins, but 6/8/10/12/14) happen more frequently in HD than you think they should? I definitely do.
Ok, I kinda don't wanna post this, coz then maybe more people will notice...but yeah, fouls are up, and consequently foul outs are up. I have specifically built my teams based upon this factor, and so far so good...lets not change anything now or what not, coz I like it this way...

I do agree it happens a little to much but at the same time you have all these games being simulated at the same time and if you studied the box scores of every game through out DI, II, and III. over an entire season in real life you would see alot of very weird things happening I'm sure. I agree something is very different about the fouls on this engine but its not as bad as it was at first when this engine first came out it was nothing but 3's and fouls at least they have corrected it some.

I had an A+ IQ PG in D2 with Ath in the 60's, Spd in the 80's and Def in the 80's (can't remember the exact numbers, sorry) foul out in 8 minutes and I thought I had it bad.  2 minutes?  That's ridiculous.  I know that an example or two was shown, but I wonder in those examples if the players in question weren't intentionally fouling (end of game situations).

In both examples I gave it was almost the exact same situation a couple cheap fouls early then picked up fouls just seconds after getting back on the floor. in the NBA game Bubba Wells fouled out with about 5min. left in the game in a very close game. The Niagra player fould out in the last few min. of the game as well but neither fouled intentionally at the end of the game.If I remember right Niagra was up like 30 when the guy picked up his 5th

His 2 minutes were spread out over 4 or 5 different appearances in game, he just quickly picked up fouls when on the court. Got 2 in the first minute (fluky thing) and sat until about 3:30 in the 1st, went back in and picked up another, so came right back out - same thing twice in the second half, in -  quick foul, have a seat...weird but not impossible or even unrealistic for a fluky thing...
Not unrealistic?

Has this ever happened before in a college or pro game? Once?
The college game I covered tonight featured one player fouling out in roughly eight minutes of court time (probably a good thing for his team, since he'd amassed seven turnovers in that amount of time according to the final box) and another player drawing five fouls in under six minutes.

Two might be pushing it, but not wholly unrealistic as an isolated random event.

Admin did take the time to look into this:

Quick update: I ran this same matchup 100 times, and Taylor averaged just under 2 fouls per game in 21.4 minutes per game. I think we can chalk this up to an extreme fluke.

nice to know there still is some variance

so what is this, a 20 std deviation event. It definitely happens (think about the financial market crash in 08, which was something like a 30 sigma event under most models), it just sucks when it happens to you and you can only shake your head in disbelief.
