I'll be on the other side, I like him, I think net def is calculated something along the lines:
net def = (ath+sp+2*def)/4, so 90+30+90*2 is 300, divided by 4 is 75,
that is a much better def sg than you will get in d3, or sf, or pf - I like him as a role player, he esp is valuable in a zone or FCP, where his high def will average out some of your worse players. I am experimenting with a frosh like him, only he is far worse, only a 400 total, with 80-32-80 for ath/sp/def for my lakeland d3 rebuild project, I project him as a 3 year backup, and a starter his sr season, which means he likely will never start, but I have a very low def star guard, I view such a def specialist as a nice complimentary player.
