i agree with miz. spot on!
I've read miz's post 3 times and I still have no idea what he's suggesting.  Best I can gather is pick my 5 or 6 best guys, play them 40 minutes each, and schedule the Top 10 teams in the nation as non-conf opponents next year.
actually, the top 10 teams that you can beat...

Hackerhog, sorry I didn't look at your team very closely. I really thought you were saying you only wanted to play 5-6 guys since they were better than the others and didn't care about the rest. My response was unfortunatly a rambling book, but the idea was simply to suggest that sometimes it's better to sacrifice a season or two for the overall good of the program.

My main point was that, if your planning on being the "Head-Hog" for several seasons,,, trying to win games this season might actually be limiting your success down the road.

It takes alot to turn around a mid to lower level program in a good Big-6 conference today.... You might be making sure the Hogs are fodder for the better SEC teams for years to come if you don't plan ahead,,, ummm, fail to plan = plan to fail, nowhere is it truer than in Low to mid-level DI HD right now.

@Miz...keep in mind that Arky has a higher baseline prestige than everybody but UK in the SEC...makes a turnaround a little bit easier...not much, but a little.
