How often have you missed on pulldowns? Topic

Weena as a DIII coach I have never once had a player listed as 'tight' or 'high priority', etc. How much money does it take?

IIRC, it's about $2500-$2800. I don't have a team currently recruiting so I can't check it.

I've lost pulldowns when I committed too soon with a small class (one or two players).  It was obvious that I had a small budget and made me vulnerable.

My D3 school spent about $2500 on a kid this past season to get him to "strongly lean" (and he was 20 miles from campus).  An A- prestige D3 school was on his list, too, and I got nervous at the last minute.  I dumped the remainder of my budget (another $3k) on him to guarantee signing him but it turned out that the other school had just left their name on him "just in case" and didn't do the last-minute ambush.   Better safe than sorry.

On the other hand, my D2 school lost a kid last recruiting cycle because I didn't save enough back to defend him.  He probably could have won a few more games for me this season.

This is all great input, you guys.  I appreciate it.
