Thanks for this game Joe. I have enjoyed it these last couple years. Hope all goes well with your new venture. I think FOX is the big loser in all this.

Good luck with your new venture. Best of luck to you. You should start a GD team so you can keep in touch.

I had to edit as I accidently typed never instead of new.

Everyone has been very patient during the past month or so of down time on GD -- it is appreciated.  As many of you know, I was hired by WIS over 7 years ago to design and build a college football dynasty game back when WIS was a small, privately owned company (we are now owned by FOX).  GD launched in August, 2004 and I have been the lead on it ever since through all the updates and changes.  I love working on GD implementing my ideas along with the many great ideas offered up by coaches in the game over the years.

It has been fun, but I have an opportunity to work with the founder of WIS to build another great company that is in the startup stages.  This is a great opportunity for me and so I have decided to leave WIS.  I have done my best to communicate the needs/wants of the GD community to make the transition to the next GD lead as easy as possible (please take it easy on him) -- it is not currently known who will be taking over otherwise I would let you know.  I will be around for the remainder of the week (WIS got more notice than you guys :))answering selected support tickets and I may even pop into the forums for a while....or perhaps I can start my own title run as a GD coach!

Thanks for a great 7+ years on the site!  I wish you guys all the best.

Good luck with your opportunity, JConte.

Thanks Joe.  While I am not playing anymore, I had years of fun.  The community and game brought hours of entertainment.  You did a good job.

  Hey JC,
Overall I appreciated your efforts and your honesty.
I know there are a lot of people with peeves about your work and I too haven't agreed with everything you've done. But who the hell agrees with everything anyone does ?!
I wish you nothing but the best !
+1 and best of luck with your health.

I'm looking forward to seeing Irish99 once again.  Feel free to send a sitemail with the info on the new company. ;)

Good luck Joe. (If you start a title run would YOU have to start in DIII?)

Thanks Joe and good luck.  I've enjoyed the game.  Little chance of the GD community taking it easy on the new guy for more than a few days.  If you start up a GD team I'm guessing there will be a ton of oldtimers coming out of the woodwork to try to jump into the conference.

Best of luck.  I'd be interested in this new venture as well.

Cheers!
