Best d-2 guard ever?? Topic

Ever? No. Back in the pre-potential days, 700-rated guys in D3 were common, let alone D2. I had guys at my A+ D2 schools that I would kill for at some of my high-level D1 schools nowadays.

why are you only playing him 18 mpg?  He is probably the best player by a mile in every game

definitely not the greatest of all time, but definitely very good. its really not fair to compare players across eras anyway.

Not recruited by me but now on my team. Stats might be slightly worse, but he can last longer (pun not intended, but intended)

Here is my DII guard. His Ath and Def do not quite compare to the others but He is very nice to me. Considering where he started I will that him every time.
Current ratings just starting his Sr season, very little room for growth left.

I don't agree, the recruits we were able to sign when D2s reach was absurd are far and away the best D2 recruits I've ever seen. It seemed every season in every world there was a D2 player getting drafted. You had schools signing guys ranked in the double digits, that never happened before. If you look at the backcourt Jones posted there were never 2 guys like that in a D2 backcourt in pre potential days. He didn't even include the 2 SFs he had that I'm pretty sure 95% of D1 coaches would've loved to have.

let me know where he gets drafted...if it beats #33 then he's better than my best - Alvin Keegan.
dac, that's merely a function of how much distro you give the guy. Not germaine to this conversation.

I dunno about all that...Harkless (my current guy) has had his distro at 32 all season. He leads D II in scoring right now, but he's no where near Keegan. Harkless won't sniff the draft. Keegan was from that era of super D II recruiting. I think he was ranked #89.

Harvey has yet to start for me so I am sure this season he is still going to improve even more. I am really interested to see where he ends up.

if youre willing to share, i'd love to hear what potentials he has left once you get the coaches email

That's a fact -- the only D2 players that get drafted are ones that put up huge scoring #'s. I'd bet my next paycheck that Keegan fits that bill.

girt, not always true.  This guy just got drafted in Crum.

Not sure what his final numbers were, but he was the only D2 player with higher ratings than my guy.
