I'm surprised as well, but it does make sense. When I was 12, my best friend at the time and I played this DOS based game called Courtside College Basketball -

Though the link works, I don't believe the game is made anymore. It used the last names of the best 12 statistically significant players from each of the DI basketball teams. Each team had built in fatigue based on tempo, and players had attributes related to their real FG, FT, & 3pt %, as well as rebounding, passing, etc. This was back in 1989-1991, so my favorite thing to do was play Loyola Marymount against some team that didn't play defense and try to run up 150 or so points.
In many aspects, the game was definitely a rudimentary version of Hoops Dynasty. had HD been around then, I'd have been an addict to it at a young age.
