I gotta tell you, Customer Support is total **** now and this site is doing nothing for the customers. There are also countless bugs and glitches that are affecting the players and WhatIfSports is doing nothing to correct them.

If this continues and they make no improvements and neglect the customers (in terms of CS) then I'll be filing a complain with the Better Business Bureau. I'm tired of being ignored.

By the way, if any of you guys are interested in filing a complain with the BBB as well, file it to Microsoft. What If and FoxSports are not accredited.

My understanding was that HD is operated off of one independent server.  Not so easy to reallocate data/bandwidth if that's the case.  Maybe they're upgrading/replacing the hardware.

That's exactly how I interpreted this, a server switch.

Another data center manager here.  If they're running on a single server (VERY unlikely)... or even multiple servers, and they don't have a DR environment they could use for failover, that's just nuts.

sure, a DR site is pretty important. but a little site like WIS can get away without one. but not having redundancy built into your system, which is way cheaper, is just nuts. its only a few grand for a spare server. i would think you could get 1 rack of equipment and have the whole of WIS running on there with full redundancy - except for natural disasters.

I wish it was.  Tarek was at least willing to listen to you and not give you crap answers...  He wasn't perfect, nor was his product, but he didn't have a problem admitting it.
You are remembering the past a little too fondly.  He had a huge problem admitting when things weren't working as they should be.  Really put so much of himself into the games that I definitely got the impression more than once that any criticisms or even uncarefully worded suggestions were taken as personal attacks.  It took a long time and a lot of pushing to get him to admit when there were flaws.

This.  Exactly.
