Would their sub $1M season also have to be for their slotted position?  I can see an issue where someone selects a catcher who's sub $1M season isn't catcher eligible and thus might leave us without a backup catcher.  I don't see it overly critical for those positions we have more than 1 option for like OF but for the others it might become an issue depending on the # of PA we have available to us (since there are no minimum PA restrictions, just salary ones).

No,

Positions are not significant, other than trying to make sure that a reasonable starting lineup can be established.  The idea is to get a roster of 24 players, where each of the 24 players has multiple seasons (including at least one cheap season) that can be realistically chosen.  It is quite possible that you could be a few PA's short at a position.

It is my hope that we get 24 unique rosters selected.
