Do coaches at the ML level do much other than attract free agents? Do they help stave off decline later in a player's career, or is that all about your training budget? Because I just hired three minor league coaches for ML jobs this season (two from AAA, one from AA) to save money for my fielding coach. All of my players at the ML level are done developing, so what is the benefit to chasing good ML coaches? This is my first season with the strategy, and it might backfire, but I am wondering if others have input on the issue?
