Just so I'm clear...this is a new progressive league?

And am I right that eventually things will even out so that all active player seasons are from the same year?
Yes they will even out and it should work out about perfect
Cool.  I'm intrigued.  Hopefully this can get off the ground.

Count me in, with the Denver Nuggets.

Can you explain your rookie rules a little more?  What is your policy on tanking?

Every player will start with their rookie season so that we have enough players/mins in the '51-64' season draft. The following season every player will progress to their next season including the players that go undrafted. The undrafted players will go into the next draft progressing to their 2nd season along with the rookies from the '65 season and we will hold our 2nd draft from these players. The league should balance out in the late 70's. Once it balances out every player will be progressing during the same seasons. The players from the 1st draft will be progressing from their rookie seasons which will be a mixture of seasons and will continue to progress from there just like every other player will progress through their careers in this league, from their rookie season.

When the '65 rookie draft takes place the players from the '51-'64 seasons along with the undrafted players will progress into their 2nd simseason, it's that simple.

I think a 6 team lottery or a random draw might eliminate tanking. I could make a 30 game must win rule if necessary. I'm open to suggestions. Eliminating tanking is probably the biggest obstacle when runnin a Pro league but I was thinkin if we use a random draw for the bottom 6 teams it would hopefully eliminate tanking especially if the bottom 6 teams all have the same odds of getting the 1st pick.

I would like to hear your opinion along with everyone elses because I want to eliminate tanking from this league completely. The tanking rule is the only part of this league I am still trying to finalize.

I like a random draw from the bottom 6. What do you guys think?

Is a lottery with a 30 win rule better?

Opinions or suggestions are appreciated!!!!

Just think of this league starting with the rookie players from the '64-'65 season but any player prior to this season is also available starting in their rookie seasons and they will all progress from their rookie season at the same time. The League will progress into it's 2nd season which will be the '65-'66 season and continue to progress from there.

Random draw is really interesting to me actually.  I don't hate that idea as much as I would think.

With rookies, I meant specifically SIM generated rookies.

Sim generated rookies wont play but if there is a mid season trade that involves a lopsided # of players then they will need to bring up a rookie to fill the roster spot. I don't mind if they get some PT in blowouts I guess.

don't like sim rookies.  is there a way of keeping a 6 to 8 IR list of players below 1 mil. to compensate for a trade..  is there a cap?

Yeah like the random draw myself but to be in that random draw maybe we can have a minutes floor something like 17000 mins.  Thoughts?

I like the random draw also and if I'm one of the bottom 6 I will let someone else do the random draw. I'm not sure about 17000 mins. but I like that idea also. Thx for the input!

I thought about carrying 15 player rosters and putting 3 as rookies but that may handcuff teams. I would have to get the sim to add these 3 players for rookies unless they have made changes that allow us to do it ourselves. Everyone should have enough mins. to make it through the season anyways but trades will make rookies necessary but they shouldn't play anyways so it shouldn't be a problem.

No cap

I also like the idea of not letting a team have the 1st pick 2 years in a row. We should randomize the 1st pick and then the rest of the order in this case. More input....

i'll join up, sacramento kings.
i like the random draw.
so are we going to have in season trades? like get the site staff to switch players for us? that'd be pretty sweet if we could do that.
